The pressure is on the Scots as they face Georgia on the weekend with Euro 2016 in touching distance. Qualification in Group D is a pretty tight affair with Poland leading the group followed by Germany.
Then come the Scots in third but Ireland are breathing down their necks. So a tricky away game for the Scots who really need to put the three points on the board to keep themselves in control of qualification.
Scotland took a 1-0 win at Ibrox over Georgia earlier in the group (thanks to an own goal) and they hold a narrow 2-1 head to head lead from previous meetings.
Scotland are in great form though having lost just one of their last eight played (a friendly against England) and this is where they have to consolidate the four points which they have taken against Ireland in the group.
Scotland have to face Poland and Germany still, so that raises the stakes on them getting three points from their trip to Tbilisi on Friday night. Gordon Strachan’s men need the three points and they are even money to get them.
Georgia have only scored four goals in the group so far and have conceded at a rate of over two per game. They have posted two wins and six defeats in their last eight but those victories were against Malta and Gibraltar which really don’t count for much.
The Scots struggle for goals, but look for them to find a crucial one and sneak what could be a crucial qualification three points in a game which goes under 2.5 goals (4/9).
