So, it has been quoted this week that if Serena Williams brings her A-game to Wimbledon then there will only be one winner of the tournament.
It’s pretty hard to argue with that, it really is and usually there is some hesitation over backing a heavy favourite for a tournament because of a lack of value, but when it comes to Williams, it’s hard not oppose her.
Williams already has the Australian Open crown this year to her name and she followed that up with a win at the French Open. The Roland Garros win came after her own admissions that she was taking some time to adjust to clay this go around.
So she is on for the Serena Slam this year, and she does incidentally already now hold three of the four Grand Slam titles.
If she wins Wimbledon, then that makes the current holder of all four major titles, and then it would open her up with the chance of landing all four Grand Slams in the calendar year as well, with a chance to complete at the US Open later in the year.
Williams has made early exits from Wimbledon in the last two seasons but the five time winner at SW19 looks pretty unopposed here as 7/4 favourite with Bet365, especially when you see that Petra Kvitova is the nearest to her in the market at 4/1.
A Wimbledon title very soon is a reality for her. You can back Williams at even money to finish the season with three Grand Slam titles, or push the boat out and throw a stake at 11/2 on her to claim all four of the 2015 major titles.
At Bet365 you can now receive a First Deposit Bonus Worth up to £200.
