Blackburn Rovers goalkeeper Paul Robinson has withdrawn from the England squad to face Hungary on Wednesday and has retired from international football.
The 30-year-old had been handed a recall after missing the World Cup finals in South Africa, but has instead opted against accepting the call-up and has called time after winning 41 caps.
Meanwhile, three uncapped players have been named in Fabio Capello’s 22-man England squad for the friendly international against Hungary at Wembley on Wednesday.
Arsenal duo Jack Wilshere and Kieran Gibbs are both included, as is Fulham striker Bobby Zamora.
Everton defender Phil Jagielka is also given an opportunity to impress, as are Bolton centre-half Gary Cahill, Manchester City winger Adam Johnson, Ashley Young of Aston Villa and Sunderland striker Darren Bent.
